    4. Identify and understand the road to purchase for your customers. What are all the touch points along the way to purchasing your product/s?

Photos

  • Now that you are clear on your messaging and storytelling approach, taking a great photo will give you the confidence and tools to tell any story and post on social media.

    Learn the fundamentals of taking a good photo using a smartphone.

  • Take an average photo to a fantastic photo that will gain attention and comments using a few simple editing tips. If you have not edited photos yet, by the end of this session, you’ll always want edit your photos before using them!

  • By now you’ll know how to take great photos. Here, we’ll guide you through how to use them. We’ll take you through the nitty gritty - sizes & orientations for different uses | cropping | adding to videos and so on.

  • Understand how credits work. Whilst we 100% encourage you to use your own photos, unless you’ve contracted/ paid someone to take photos for your business, it is important to credit the photographer (or artist for graphics) for artistic integrity, trust, transparency and perhaps even expanding your sto

  • Creating your own App is not nearly as hard as it sounds! Now there are some great App software options available. Our favourite is GoodBarber.

    Their monthly subscription starts at about 50 AUD (converted from Euros), depending on the category.

    Whether you want to develop a course, sell your products through eCommerce, taking bookings with payments or provide a content (information) app, we will provide you with step-by-step instructions to build your own branded app. This will take your business to the next level...

  • Once your app is ready to launch, you can make it downloadable through the Apple App Store, Google Play, your website and a number of other smaller app stores like AmazonApp. We’ll take you through these platforms and how to maximise promoting it.

  • We’ll explain how to generate ratings for your App, to help to promote it.

Branding

    1. Develop your brand values. It sounds fluffy, but it is deep! It will steer your business and marketing.

    2. Tighten up your pitch. If you were stuck in an elevator with someone, how would you explain your business offer in 30 seconds?

    3. Identify your key messages, based on your pitch. These will shape all of your marketing, particularly your social media posts.

    4. Story Telling - By now you will have developed a compelling offer, worked out your pitch, understood your values and come up with your key messages. Learn effective & productive storytelling, taking all of this into account.

    5. Grammarly - one of your brand values may be professionalism and if it’s not, it will be an underlying assumption. Grammarly is a free app that you can apply across all of your writing to ensure your spelling & grammar are spot on - no matter what software or app you’re using.

    1. Business Name - This is the time to finalise your business name. Having gone through Section 1 - Strategy and the first part of this section - Messaging, you will know if your original brand name is bang on, or by now, you’ll have a hunch about what the name needs to be!

    2. Branding 101 - you’ll learn all about branding and why it’s so important to consistently represent your business in every customer interaction.

    3. Logo - If you don’t already have a logo, or you think it’s time to refresh it, we’ll show you how to develop or refresh a logo using Canva, to use across your whole business.

    4. Style Guide - By now, you’ll understand the importance of a consistent brand and logo. We’ll show you how to create a style guide in Canva, so that you and anyone working with your brand & business has some brand guidelines to follow.

Videos

  • Now that you are clear on your messaging and storytelling approach, and can take great photos….This video segment will combine these skills to tell attention-grabbing stories through videos.

    Similar to using photos, we’ll get you all over the nitty gritty, which is really important to work out how you’ll approach your videos.

    Asking for permission to film | Lengths & orientations for various apps/ uses | Videos vs Reels | Types of Video Formats & Files | Styles | Branding & Graphics | Size & Storage | Sharing & Downloading

  • We’ll give you some simple tips on how to film on an iPhone and a Samsung.

    These will include things like orientation - (landscape or portrait) | how to hold your phone | Putting the people you’re filming at ease | blunders - whether to continue & edit out later or start over and so on.

  • The differences between playing as is for reels or editing videos for a more professional finish & other digital uses.

    We’ll show you how to edit and download your videos using Canva.

    This will include - adding graphics | audio - extracting, cutting & moving | altering volume | adding dual tracks (eg Voiceover & music together) | fading in & out | voiceovers, music & sound effects | speed effects (eg slow motion for mood) | transitions between video clips and so on.

  • How to create graphics in Canva to up the branding & professionalism of your videos.

    This will include - Title and End Title slides | Divider slides | Name strips | adding Highlight graphics to vision and so on.

  • We’ll show you how to record and add audio through - smart phone videos | smart phone voice memos, audio files received from other people | recording your own audio in Canva | AI augmented audio | music (including copyright limitations/ uses) and so on.

Marketing

  • Effective marketing requires a good handle on some fundamentals (traditionally known as the marketing mix). Throughout this course, you’ll nail these fundamentals and then it’s a case of learning to join the dots - put them all together in an efficient way, taking as little time as possible.

    You’ll use your foundations of Strategy, Productivity and Branding and combine these with Photos, Videos and Design to create Word of Mouth (WOM), moving your business forward.

  • We’ll take you through the simplest way of building business profiles on these Apps.

  • If you haven’t already discovered Canva, you won’t know believe how easy it is to design fabulous, professional looking graphics and videos. Canva is next level and they are clearly working hard behind the scenes because it just keeps getting better and better…

    You can start using it as a free app. To add a brand element to it (which we recommend), budget for about $20/ month and it will come in just under.

    We’ll show you how to set up your branding - colours and fonts (typography), tap into pre-made Canva templates, create and download graphics for any design you need - from social media profile pics to mp4 videos.

  • You’ll understand the sizes you need for different apps, social media, software, websites and printing.

    We’ll take you through the different file types & formats - where and how you use them and what file types you need to download to. For a sneak peak, check out our Jargon page on this website. Many of them are listed there.

    You’ll get a handle on how to organise and save your files - both within Canva and in your own Computer or Cloud files.

  • Whilst printing is not used as much now, there are still plenty of reasons to print some materials to support and promote your business. Whilst we also encourage you to approach a local printer, if you have one nearby, we’ll familiarise you with VistaPrint - quick, easy, quality online printing.

    We’ll also explain the sizes and dimensions you need to understand for printing as well as terminology that you may not be familiar with. To get a heads up on some of this terminology - visit our Jargon page.

AI

  • AI (Artificial Intelligence) is nothing new. It has been creeping into our Sat Nav (Satellite Navigation), Siri, Voice to Text, to name just a few existing applications.

    However, now, we are armed with a new automated way of writing and designing. Just about every software application has AI in development, if they haven’t already implemented it.

    We will go through how to take short cuts using AI, without losing integrity and professionalism and work through how to incorporate AI focused apps into your marketing.
